Mavens Overview

The second largest hotel in the world. The hotel has a satellite check-in facility at McCarran Airport, located in the south baggage claim near carousels 1 and 2.

In 2005 the MGM renovated the original Marina Hotel rooms, and renamed them West Wing rooms. These are the smallest rooms at MGM, 350 sq ft. Although small, the rooms are carefully designed with a modern flair one would expect to find at a trendy boutique hotel. The bathroom has an open to the room design, which many guests have commented that would have preferred a more standard design. The Bose Wave Radio and pillow top beds get high praise. Rooms have shower stall only.

The Grand Tower rooms are the other standard type rooms at MGM, and are almost 100 square feet larger than West Wing rooms, 446 sq ft. The rooms have a classic, yet modern design as highlighted by the imported black and white marble featured in the bathroom. The beds have double pillow top mattresses.

The Signature at MGM Grand are three separate towers located behind the main hotel, with a separate entrance. The rooms feature kitchenettes and jacuzzi whirlpools and start at 550 square feet. The complex features a separate, more intimate pool area and fitness center.

MGM Grand also offers a large selection of suite options, ranging from the Bungalow Suite, a single large room (675 sq ft) to Marquee Suites which contain two master bedrooms (1,550 sq ft)

Internet Buzz

The Skyloft seemed to be both intimate and futuristic, complete with built-in Television in the bathroom mirror.

Upon entering The Signature Suite, I was so overwhelmed with it's awesomeness that I had to fight to keep my cool. A fully stocked kitchen which rivals the one I have at home. Complete with dishwasher, utensils, stove and fridge.

We stayed in the Bungalow Suite, the decor is a little dated and the lighting was horrible, but the room was very spacious.

The wait for elevators took a long time on peak days.

The beds... mmm... so comfy.

West Wing Room. I admit it was a little small...the important thing for me was that it was one of the best set up wheelchair accessible rooms I have ever had, from the automated curtains to the light switch embedded in the headboard to the huge roll in shower.

The check-in at the airport MGM desk was quick and easy.

Despite the Hotel's claims, the West Wing Rooms are not worth the extra money...long walk in a dark hallway to the room...once you enter the room, you will realize that you do not have an enclosed bathroom...using the facilities had feel and charm of using a public bathroom stall or showering at the local gym.

Our Grand Tower Room was of reasonable size with two fantastically comfortable queen sized beds (the best I have ever slept in!)

It just didn't seem "Grand", which is what I was expecting.

We have tried practically every hotel in Vegas and have stayed at the MGM in the past. It is hard to beat this hotel for value.

We stayed in the Grand Tower and we were 100% satisfied with every aspect of our stay - except the $14.95/day internet access fee. The room was near perfect , clean, modern, well appointed, nice large bathroom...The king bed was quite comfortable... the thermostat kept the temperature in the room exactly as we wanted it.
